Extends the statute of limitations for filing employment discrimination complaints with the Department of Fair Employment and Housing from 1 year to 3 years from the date the unlawful practice occurred.

Maintains the 1-year filing deadline for complaints alleging violations of specific Civil Code sections (51, 51.5, 51.7, 54, 54.1, or 54.2) related to housing and other discrimination.

Allows filing deadlines to be extended by up to 90 days if a person first obtained knowledge of the unlawful practice facts during that 90-day period following the expiration of the applicable filing deadline.

Specifies that the bill does not revive claims that have already lapsed before the law's effective date.
