Requires county human services agencies to first check the California Immunization Registry to verify children in CalWORKs assistance units have received age-appropriate immunizations, effective July 1, 2019.

Only if the county cannot verify immunizations through the registry shall applicants or recipients be required to submit documentation themselves.

Requires counties to provide written notice to applicants and recipients of their obligation to submit immunization documentation, including information on how to obtain free immunizations and that Medi-Cal covers nonmedical transportation for immunization services.

If documentation is not secured within 45 days of eligibility determination or redetermination, counties must send another notice; applicants are deemed compliant once documentation is obtained or good cause (homelessness, domestic violence, lack of transportation, etc.) is determined.

Clarifies that no continuous appropriation of state General Fund moneys shall be made to implement this act, though reimbursement to counties for state-mandated costs may be available.
