Out-of-state licensees applying for California marriage and family therapist or professional clinical counselor licenses with less than 4 years of licensure may receive credit for supervised experience at 100 hours per month (up to 1,200 hours) if their degree meets practicum requirements

Applicants who exhaust their maximum 5 registration renewals may obtain a subsequent associate registration number if they meet current educational requirements and pass the California law and ethics examination, but cannot work in private practice settings
