Expands the Licensed Mental Health Service Provider Education Program to include psychiatric-mental health nurse practitioners and physician assistants working in psychiatric mental health settings who have attained further education beyond their initial licensure.

Allows expanded eligible practitioners to apply for grants to reimburse educational loans incurred for their additional psychiatric mental health training and certification.

Requires grant funding for nurse practitioners and physician assistants to be drawn from fees collected from their corresponding original licensed provider groups.

Maintains existing program requirements that grants cannot exceed actual educational loan amounts, may be provided in installments based on service completion, and are limited by available appropriated funds.

Effective date: July 1, 2018.
