Requires the Department of Technology to provide Geographic Information Systems (GIS) data to regional notification centers for purposes of protecting subsurface installations from damage.

Applies to regional notification centers as defined in existing law, including Underground Service Alert—Northern California and Underground Service Alert—Southern California.

Makes GIS data available to regional notification centers under the same terms and conditions provided to state agencies under existing law.

Supports the existing requirement that operators of subsurface installations participate in and share costs of regional notification centers that provide advance warning of excavations and other work near underground installations.
