Amends Section 1206 of the Health and Safety Code to increase the hours of operation exemption for clinics operated by primary care community or free clinics from 30 hours per week to 40 hours per week.

Allows clinics operated on separate premises from a licensed clinic to remain exempt from state licensing requirements if they operate only limited services within the expanded 40-hour weekly limit.

Requires that intermittent clinics meeting this exemption must still comply with all other applicable legal requirements, including fire and life safety regulations.

Approved by Governor on September 6, 2018, and became Chapter 279.
