For residential projects within one-half mile of a major transit stop, limits required parking to the number of spaces that existed on the site when the project application was submitted.

For nonresidential projects converting or adapting a designated historical resource, mandates a 25-percent reduction in otherwise required parking spaces.

Defines "designated historical resource" as a structure or property officially designated on a local, California, or National Register of Historic Places.

Projects receiving parking reductions must comply with all applicable federal, state, and local regulations and standards for preservation, restoration, rehabilitation, and safety of the historical resource.
