Local educational agencies (school districts, county offices of education, and charter schools) must adopt procedures for preventing bullying and cyberbullying by December 31, 2019.

The State Department of Education must develop and post an online training module on its website to educate school staff, administrators, parents, pupils, and community members about bullying and cyberbullying dynamics.

The department must maintain and annually update a list of available online training modules related to bullying prevention on its website.

Schools operated by school districts, county offices of education, and charter schools must annually make the department's training module available to certificated employees and other staff members who have regular interaction with students.

If the Commission on State Mandates determines the bill imposes state-mandated costs, reimbursement to local agencies and school districts shall be made pursuant to existing statutory procedures.
