Excludes judicial holidays (including Saturdays and Sundays) from the 3-day notice period that landlords must give tenants to cure violations or vacate for rent default or lease breaches under unlawful detainer procedures.

Clarifies that the 5-day response period for defendants served with a notice of summons in possession actions does not include judicial holidays, Saturdays, and Sundays.

Applies to both rent payment defaults and violations of other lease conditions or covenants requiring cure notices.

Becomes operative on September 1, 2019.
