Adds exception allowing commercial drivers employed by motor carriers transporting nutrients and byproducts from licensed commercial feed manufacturers to remote rural locations to commence meal periods after 6 hours of work instead of 5 hours.

Requires drivers using this exception to have a regular rate of pay of at least one and one-half times the state minimum wage and receive overtime compensation under Section 510 of the Labor Code.

Maintains existing meal period requirements for other employees, including 30-minute meal periods after 5 hours of work and second meal periods after 10 hours of work.

Preserves existing exceptions for employees in wholesale baking, motion picture, and broadcasting industries covered by qualifying collective bargaining agreements.
