Expands who may petition for gun violence restraining orders to include employers, coworkers, and employees of secondary or postsecondary schools the person attended in the last 6 months, in addition to immediate family members and law enforcement officers.

Allows these new categories of petitioners to request ex parte (immediate) gun violence restraining orders that prohibit firearm and ammunition possession when there is substantial likelihood of significant danger to self or others.

Permits employers, coworkers, and school employees to request one-year gun violence restraining orders after notice and hearing with clear and convincing evidence of danger.

Enables employers, coworkers, and school employees to request renewal of existing gun violence restraining orders within 3 months before expiration.
