Extends sunset date for unlawful detainer provisions related to illegal weapons and ammunition from January 1, 2019 to January 1, 2024 for Los Angeles, Long Beach, Oakland, and Sacramento.

Adds Long Beach to the cities authorized to file unlawful detainer actions for nuisances caused by illegal controlled substances, alongside Oakland and Sacramento.

Requires city attorneys and prosecutors to make good faith efforts to collect and report specified information to the California Research Bureau annually by January 20, including case data, demographic information, and case outcomes.

Allows defendants to raise as an affirmative defense the jurisdiction's failure to make good faith efforts to collect and report required information to the California Research Bureau.

Extends California Research Bureau reporting deadlines to the Legislature to March 20, 2021 and March 20, 2023 instead of previous dates.
