Repeals and replaces Labor Code Section 3212.9 to reorganize and expand workers' compensation coverage for meningitis.

Extends meningitis workers' compensation coverage to active firefighting members of the Department of Forestry and Fire Protection, in addition to existing coverage for local firefighters and law enforcement officers.

Establishes a rebuttable presumption that meningitis arising during employment is compensable, with full hospital, surgical, medical treatment, disability indemnity, and death benefits.

Extends the presumption to persons following termination of service for three calendar months per year of service, capped at 60 months maximum.

Excludes from coverage persons whose principal duties are clerical or office work, such as stenographers, receptionists, and other office workers.
