Requires a portion of annual resource family training to support the case plans, goals, and needs of children in the resource family home, in accordance with department-specified written directives or regulations.

Authorizes counties to require resource families or applicants to complete one or more additional hours of relevant specialized training beyond state-mandated training hours, at the county's discretion.

Exempts the state from reimbursing local agencies for costs related to this mandate, limiting reimbursement obligations to costs within the 2011 Realignment Legislation framework or only when the state provides annual funding for cost increases.

Approved by Governor on October 12, 2017 and became Chapter 705.
