Designates a radiation safety officer (FBI-certified bomb technician) who is exempt from most certification requirements but must comply with certain radiation safety regulations.

Mandates written operating procedures for radiation machines, compliance with American National Standard N537-1976 specifications, and annual refresher training for operators.

Waives radiation survey and boundary posting requirements when the FBI standard operating procedure of maintaining a 300-foot evacuation distance in all directions is used.
