Honors Deputy Hurdle, who was killed in the line of duty on November 25, 1977, in Willowbrook during a confrontation with suspected gang members

Deputy Hurdle had served 8 years and 6 months since his appointment on May 15, 1969, and was 36 years old at the time of his death

Requests the Department of Transportation to determine the cost of appropriate signs displaying the memorial designation and the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department badge

Authorizes sign installation upon receipt of donations from nonstate sources sufficient to cover the costs
