Designates Sunday, June 3, 2018, as California Cancer Survivors Day to coincide with National Cancer Survivors Day, which is held on the first Sunday in June.

Recognizes that more than 14 million cancer survivors are alive in America today due to advances in prevention, early detection, treatment, and follow-up care.

Acknowledges ongoing challenges cancer survivors face including physical, emotional, and financial hardships; limited access to specialists and treatment; insurance denial; employment difficulties; and fear of recurrence.

Calls for increased resources, research, and survivor-friendly legislation to improve the quality of life for cancer survivors during and after treatment.

Directs the Chief Clerk of the Assembly to distribute copies of the resolution to the author.
