Legislature declares education technology a highest priority and commits to providing California educators and students with state-of-the-art technology resources, connectivity, and support to optimize instruction and learning opportunities.

Legislature directs convening of a state-level summit conference including teachers, school administrators, county offices of education, professional education associations, and the California Emerging Technology Fund to identify improvements in education technology and establish new legislative and funding priorities.

Legislature and Governor urged to consider prior and current educational technology initiatives, programs, and plans when developing new legislation and budget changes related to education technology.

Chief Clerk of Assembly directed to transmit resolution copies to the Governor, State Board of Education, Superintendent of Public Instruction, and the author for distribution.
