Designates the second week of October annually as Code Enforcement Officer Appreciation Week in California, beginning in 2018.

Recognizes code enforcement officers for enforcing local, state, and federal laws related to building, zoning, housing, animal control, environmental, health, and life safety matters.

Acknowledges that code enforcement officers often lack public recognition despite their challenging roles in improving community quality of life and preventing neighborhood deterioration.

Calls upon California residents to recognize and express appreciation for the dedication and service of code enforcement officers in their communities.
