Calls on federal leadership to protect California farmers, ranchers, and farmworkers in global trade negotiations and to break down barriers to agricultural trade.

Requests that the President consider California agriculture's importance when negotiating future trade agreements and protect agricultural provisions if NAFTA is renegotiated.

Emphasizes that changes to federal immigration laws could significantly reduce the agricultural workforce, since many farmworkers are immigrants, which would increase production costs and consumer prices nationwide.

Directs the Chief Clerk of the Assembly to transmit copies of the resolution to the President, Vice President, Congress members from California, the Speaker of the House, Senate Majority Leader, and the Governor.
