Legislature declares active support for continued coordination and collaboration between California and the People's Republic of China in areas including people-to-people exchange, trade, climate change, education, tourism, technology, innovation, and green development

Urges the President of the United States and Congress to support actions that strengthen economic links between the United States (including California) and China

California conducts more business with China than any other state, with 2017 total trade volume of $175.6 billion (27.6 percent of U.S.-China trade) and $4.7 billion in Chinese investment

Establishes that approximately two million Chinese and Chinese Americans live in California, with more than 20 daily flights and sister city partnerships connecting the state to major Chinese cities

Directs the Chief Clerk of the Assembly to transmit copies of the resolution to the President, U.S. Senators and Representatives from California, and the resolution's author
