Designates October 26, 2018, as Pediatric Epilepsy Day in California

Recognizes that epilepsy affects approximately 427,000 Californians, including 60,000 children under 18 years of age

Notes that uncontrolled seizures in children can damage the developing brain and negatively impact academic performance, memory, learning, and social-emotional development

Encourages epilepsy foundations and support networks to partner with education and health communities to conduct epilepsy education and awareness activities

Directs the Chief Clerk of the Assembly to distribute copies of the resolution to the author
