Amends Section 935 of the Government Code to clarify procedures for claims against local public entities.

Exempts claims for damages from childhood sexual abuse from local entity procedures prescribed by charter, ordinance, or regulation.

These childhood sexual abuse claims must instead follow the specific procedure described in Section 905(m) of the Government Code, not local entity-created procedures.

Applies to claims for damages resulting from childhood sexual abuse occurring on or after January 1, 2009.

Approved by Governor on July 20, 2018 and designated as Chapter 153.
