Chancellor of the California Community Colleges must develop a consistent policy by September 1, 2019 to award course credit to military personnel and veterans with official Joint Services Transcripts for California Intersegmental General Education Transfer Curriculum, California State University General Education Breadth, or local community college general education requirements.

Each community college district must adopt a policy consistent with the chancellor's policy by December 31, 2020 to assess Joint Services Transcripts for course credit awards.

Each community college campus must post its military course credit policy on its Internet website.

The chancellor's office and Academic Senate for the California Community Colleges must periodically review and adjust the policy to align with policies at other public postsecondary educational institutions.

If the Commission on State Mandates determines this bill creates state-mandated costs, reimbursement shall be made through existing statutory procedures, with community college district funding used to directly offset any mandated costs.
