State Department of Social Services must provide CalWORKs and CalFresh eligibility and enrollment data to the State Department of Developmental Services to monitor and evaluate employment outcomes under the Employment First Policy.

Data sharing is limited to information about consumers served by the State Department of Developmental Services and is permitted only to the extent allowed under federal law and regulations.

State Department of Developmental Services must maintain confidentiality of data received from the State Department of Social Services at the same level as if it had acquired the information directly.

State Department of Social Services personnel are authorized to receive confidential information from the State Department of Developmental Services as necessary to enable the data exchange required by this bill.

Bill incorporates conditional amendments to Section 4514 that become operative only if both this bill and Senate Bill 1190 are enacted, with this bill enacted after SB 1190.
