Amends Probate Code Section 6453 to modify how natural parent-child relationships are established for intestate succession purposes.

Specifies that clear and convincing evidence of parentage may include genetic DNA evidence acquired during the parent's lifetime when it was impossible for the parent to hold out the child as their own.

Maintains existing provisions allowing parentage establishment through presumptions under the Uniform Parentage Act or court orders entered during the parent's lifetime.

Approved by Governor on July 16, 2018 and became Chapter 116.
