Establishes the Commission on the Future of Work in state government with 8 members appointed by the Governor, Senate Committee on Rules, and Speaker of the Assembly, plus two ex-officio members (Secretary of Labor and Controller).

Requires commission members to have knowledge and expertise in work, workforce development, labor, technology, robotics, or artificial intelligence.

Directs the commission to commission research on technology's impact on workers and employers, gather public input, and develop policy recommendations on managing technology development, deployment, regulation, taxation, and benefit distribution in the workplace.

Requires the commission to submit its recommendations to the Legislature and Governor no later than November 1, 2019.

Designates the commission as advisory only, with no obligation to implement findings without separate legislation.
