CA SB165

Prohibits the Department of Transportation from increasing rent for nonprofit organizations (501(c)(3) entities) that legally occupy surplus nonresidential properties within the State Route 710 corridor in Los Angeles County.

Specifically protects named organizations including Arlington Garden, Ronald McDonald House, Cottage Co-op Nursery, Sequoyah School, Waverly School and Garden, and Pasadena Avenue Community Garden from rent increases.

Rent increase prohibition remains in effect only until January 1, 2022, at which point the provision is repealed unless extended by later legislation.
