CA SB361

Authorizes the Landscaping and Lighting District of the City of La Puente to perform maintenance and make improvements pursuant to Sections 22525 and 22531 of the Streets and Highways Code, in addition to existing authority under Section 5835.3.

Legislature finds that a special statute is necessary for this district because a general statute cannot be made applicable due to the unique maintenance and improvement needs of the City of La Puente district.

Declared an urgency statute effective immediately to allow the district to utilize $7,000,000 in grant funds received in October 2016.
