Amends Government Code Section 3301 to include coroners and deputy coroners within the application of the Public Safety Officers Procedural Bill of Rights Act, removing previous exclusions.

Extends protections and administrative procedures of the Public Safety Officers Procedural Bill of Rights Act to coroners and deputy coroners who are defined as peace officers.

Creates new duties for local agencies in connection with the act's application to coroners and deputy coroners.

Requires reimbursement to local agencies and school districts for state-mandated costs through existing procedures under Government Code Part 7 (commencing with Section 17500) if the Commission on State Mandates determines costs exist.

Constitutes a state-mandated local program imposing new employment procedure requirements on local agencies employing coroners and deputy coroners.
