CA SB917

Adds Section 530.5 to the Insurance Code requiring coverage for losses resulting from a combination of perils including landslide, mudslide, mudflow, or debris flow if an insured peril is the efficient proximate cause

Coverage must be provided under the same terms and conditions as would apply to the insured peril alone

Declares the provision to be declaratory of existing law and not a change in law

Preserves all coverage or defenses existing prior to January 1, 2019, in contracts or under law
