Requires public and private schools serving grades 7-12 that issue student identification cards to print the National Suicide Prevention Lifeline number (1-800-273-8255) on either side of the cards, effective July 1, 2019.

Allows schools to optionally print the Crisis Text Line (text HOME to 741741) and local suicide prevention hotline numbers on student identification cards.

Requires colleges and universities that issue student identification cards to print the National Suicide Prevention Lifeline number on the cards and may optionally include the Crisis Text Line, campus police/security number, local nonemergency number, or local suicide prevention hotline number.

Permits schools and institutions with existing supplies of non-compliant identification cards as of January 1, 2019 to continue issuing those cards until the supply is depleted.

Amendments apply to identification cards issued for the first time and replacement cards for lost or damaged cards.
