Designates October 2018 as Italian American Heritage Month in California.

Encourages public schools to highlight Italian American achievements and contributions to California culture in their curriculum.

Urges inclusion of Italian American history and contributions in elementary and secondary school social science textbooks during revision processes.

Acknowledges Italian Americans as the sixth largest ethnic group in America with approximately 1.5 million residents in California, noting their significant contributions to banking, agriculture, wine, food processing, fishing, and film industries.

Directs the Secretary of the Senate to distribute copies of this resolution to the State Board of Education, Instructional Quality Commission, and school districts.
