Proclaims the week of September 9-15, 2018, as Super Pollutant Reduction Week to coincide with the Global Climate Action Summit in San Francisco.

Recognizes that methane, hydrofluorocarbons, and black carbon are super pollutants with tens to thousands of times more global warming potential than carbon dioxide and contribute about 40 percent to current anthropogenic global radiative forcing.

Acknowledges California's leadership in reducing super pollutant emissions through Senate Bill 1383 (40 percent reduction in methane and hydrofluorocarbons by 2030) and Senate Bill 563 (Woodsmoke Reduction Program for black carbon).

Notes California has invested over $240 million in the past three years to reduce methane emissions from dairies through manure management strategies, dairy digesters, and research projects.

Affirms that California's super pollutant reduction policies serve as a blueprint for other state and regional governments and are consistent with international efforts including the 2016 Kigali Amendment to the Montreal Protocol.
