Accessible parking spaces with access aisles served by electric vehicle supply equipment must count as at least two standard automobile parking spaces toward minimum parking requirements.

Parking spaces designated as future electric vehicle charging spaces receive the same parking requirement counting as currently equipped spaces.

The bill does not modify existing approval requirements for electric vehicle charging stations under Government Code Section 65850.7.

The legislation applies to all cities, including charter cities, as a statewide concern rather than a municipal affair.
