State Air Resources Board must implement an incentive program by January 1, 2030 to ensure at least 2 electric vehicle charging stations are available for onroad heavy-duty vehicles at each of the Ports of Long Beach, Los Angeles, and Oakland during regular port hours.

Charging stations must be available at any given time during regular port operating hours to serve heavy-duty vehicles at the three specified ports.

Funding for implementation comes from the General Fund upon appropriation by the Legislature in the annual Budget Act or other enacted statute, following adoption of guidelines by the state board.

The state board is responsible for establishing and adopting guidelines to implement the charging station program at the three California ports.
