Department of Social Services must collect and send annual reports to county mental health departments beginning May 1, 2021, listing all licensed adult residential facilities and residential care facilities for the elderly that accept federal supplemental security rates and residents with serious mental disorders, including the number of licensed beds at each facility.

Department must send quarterly reports to county mental health departments beginning May 1, 2021, of facilities that closed permanently in the prior quarter, including the number of beds and reasons for closure, with cumulative data and closure trends by county.

Department must notify the county mental or behavioral health department within 3 business days upon receiving notice that a licensed facility intends to close permanently.

Applicants and licensees of adult community care facilities must maintain an email address on file with the department and provide written notification of the email address and any changes within 10 business days.

No state reimbursement is required because costs incurred by local agencies will result from the creation of new crimes related to violations of the email address maintenance requirement.
