Limits temporary work permits issued by the California Gambling Control Commission to a maximum period of 180 days pending completion of background investigations.

Removes the previous fee schedule for work permits that ranged from $25 to $250, eliminating Section 19915 of the Business and Professions Code.

Maintains existing requirements that gambling enterprise employees and independent agents hold valid work permits issued either locally or by the commission.

Preserves existing exemptions for non-supervisory, non-gaming employees who can begin work with temporary badges while their permits are pending.
