Establishes the Climate Adaptation Center and Regional Support Network within the Ocean Protection Council to assist local governments with sea level rise adaptation and mitigation measures

Center will provide technical support, scientific expertise, and guidance to local governments on adapting to climate change impacts including sea level rise

Center will establish formal partnerships with state universities to provide local governments with current scientific information on climate change impacts

Staffing includes 10 full-time equivalent positions at the Ocean Protection Council with expertise in planning, engineering, land use law, finance, and community outreach, plus 10 regional staff positions to work directly with local governments

Regional staff will facilitate information sharing between local governments and state agencies while collecting feedback from localities about adaptation challenges and needs
