Amends Penal Code Section 803 to add a new statute of limitations for crimes involving unlawful use or implantation of sperm, ova, or embryos

Establishes a one-year statute of limitations for criminal complaints involving misuse of reproductive materials, running from discovery of the offense or when it reasonably could have been discovered

Applies the new one-year limitation to crimes committed on or after January 1, 2021, and to crimes where the previous statute of limitations had not expired as of January 1, 2021

Replaces the standard three-year felony prosecution period with the discovery-based one-year timeframe for these specific reproductive misconduct offenses

Approved by Governor on September 29, 2020, and became Chapter 244
