Authorizes evidence presented at certification review hearings to include information about a person's serious chronic or acute medical condition and how it relates to danger to self/others or grave disability determinations.

Defines "medical condition" as a serious ailment where treating physicians and psychiatrists document that without treatment the person faces serious risk of great bodily harm or death within three months, and that the person was unable to comply with treatment due to their mental health condition.

Excludes substance use disorders, exposure to harms from personal circumstances (homelessness, poverty, lack of insurance), and medical information older than four years from the definition of medical condition.

Requires the hearing officer to consider medical condition information when determining probable cause for continued involuntary detention.

Requires facilities to inform patients that continuing medical treatment is recommended if they need such treatment after involuntary detention is terminated.
