CA AB2022

Establishes the Advanced Placement Test Fee Reimbursement Program administered by the State Department of Education to cover AP examination fees for eligible low-income and foster youth high school pupils in the 2020-21 school year.

Defines "low-income high school pupil" as a pupil eligible for state or federal free or reduced-price meal programs and "foster youth" per Education Code Section 42238.01.

Allows school districts, county offices of education, and charter schools to apply for reimbursement based on the number of eligible low-income and foster youth pupils enrolled in AP courses.

Requires schools that apply to designate staff to receive pupil applications and implement a plan to notify pupils of financial assistance availability.

Program implementation is contingent on appropriation of funds in the Budget Act or other statute.
