Authorizes the State Department of Public Health to establish the Office of Suicide Prevention within the department.

Office responsibilities include providing technical assistance on suicide prevention best practices, assessing state and regional prevention policies, monitoring data, convening stakeholders, and reporting on progress to reduce suicide rates.

Office may focus activities on high-risk groups including youth, Native American youth, older adults, veterans, and LGBTQ people.

Office may apply for and utilize federal, state, and foundation grants and share data with relevant state, federal, local, and private entities.

All duties must be accomplished using existing staff and resources, and the office becomes operative only upon appropriation of funds in the annual Budget Act or another statute.
