Authorizes the Commission on Teacher Credentialing to approve programs offered by local educational agencies for the one-year coursework requirement beyond a baccalaureate degree for school nurse credentials.

Requires the commission to establish approval standards for local educational agency programs that are consistent with standards for programs offered by postsecondary educational institutions.

Maintains existing minimum requirements for school nurse services credentials, including a baccalaureate degree, valid California registered nurse license, and one year of coursework beyond the baccalaureate degree.

Preserves existing credential validity periods of five years for both preliminary and professional credentials.
