Amends Government Code Section 15301.3 to modify security requirements for counties and cities using state armories as temporary homeless shelters from October 15 through April 15 each year.

Changes requirement from ensuring local law enforcement conducts periodic visits to the armory to instead requiring counties and cities to notify local law enforcement and request they make periodic visits on each night of operation.

Maintains existing requirement that counties and cities provide uniformed security personnel from one hour before shelter opens until one hour after lights out.

Declares the bill an urgency statute effective immediately upon approval by the Governor on September 25, 2020.
