Requires short-term rentals, defined as residential units rented to visitors for fewer than 30 days through centralized online platforms, to post a notice about human trafficking resources.

Short-term rental is defined to exclude residential property units occupied on a full-time basis by the owner of the property.

Maintains existing notice posting requirements for hotels, motels, bed and breakfast inns, and other specified businesses and establishments.

Notice must be at least 8½ by 11 inches in 16-point type and include information on accessing the National Human Trafficking Hotline (1-888-373-7888) and text line (233-733).

Violators are subject to civil penalties of $500 for a first offense and $1,000 for each subsequent offense.
