Amends Penal Code Section 830.1 to expand the definition of peace officers to include deputy sheriffs employed by Del Norte, Mono, and San Mateo counties

Applies the same authority standard to deputy sheriffs in these three counties as existing law does for Butte and Calaveras counties' deputy sheriffs

Limits authority of these custodial-assigned deputy sheriffs to performing duties related to county custodial facilities or when performing other law enforcement duties during a local state of emergency

Makes minor grammatical revisions to existing peace officer definitions, changing "any" to "a" and updating gendered pronouns to neutral language
