Lowers the patient population threshold from 25% to 10% of patients aged 65 years or older that triggers the geriatric medicine continuing education requirement for general internists and family physicians.

Reduces the age threshold from 65 years to 50 years of age for patients counted toward the population requirement.

Requires affected physicians to complete at least 20% of mandatory continuing education hours in geriatric medicine or care of older patients.

Amends Section 2190.3 of the Business and Professions Code.
