Requires all healing arts licensing boards to collect workforce demographic data from licensees at time of electronic application, license renewal, or at least biennially, including information on practice location, employer type, work hours, race/ethnicity, gender identity, languages spoken, and job satisfaction.

Licensees may voluntarily report race or ethnicity but are not required to do so.

Boards must maintain confidentiality of individual licensee information and only release data in aggregate form that cannot identify individuals.

Each board must post aggregate workforce data on its internet website and produce biennial reports; boards or the Department of Consumer Affairs must provide collected data annually to the Office of Statewide Health Planning and Development beginning July 1, 2021.

Repeals existing data collection requirements for the Board of Registered Nursing, Physician Assistant Board, Respiratory Care Board of California, and Board of Vocational Nursing and Psychiatric Technicians, replacing them with unified requirements applicable to all healing arts boards.
