Establishes the Future of Work Commission in state government with 14-22 members appointed by the Governor serving concurrent 4-year terms without compensation.

Requires the commission to study and make recommendations on future jobs, technology's impact on work, job quality improvements, modernizing worker protections, and ensuring shared prosperity for all Californians.

Mandates the commission to identify emerging technologies affecting employment, compile best practices from other states and countries, develop policy tools, and propose workforce development and apprenticeship programs.

Requires the commission to issue annual progress reports to the Legislature beginning April 1, 2022, with reports due each April 1 thereafter.

Requires the commission to meet each calendar quarter and mandates that all state agencies cooperate with the commission.
